There are many questions about Alexander Neibaur’s siblings. The one sibling who is not mentioned in the Unruhstadt records or Alexander’s journal is Isaac. He is listed as born abt 1810 which would make him the 2nd child if correct. Does anyone have any original sources regarding his existence. I think he may have moved to England and taken the name Wilhelm, but this is tenuous at best. Abraham is listed as Abraham Adolph Wilhelm on the Ancestral File family groups. He was called Abraham at birth, Adolph in Alexander’s journal at his death. Where does the name Wilhelm come from? Could it have been another name for Isaac?
FIEVA Answer.
I believe Isaac was a mistake of the original one submitting. They might have been thinking of Uncle Ike Alexanders second living son.
Isidor was the second son of Joseph Nathan
Born 1810
Died 8 Nov 1828 Unruhstadt age 18
Abraham
Born 7 Jan 1819 Unruhstadt
Baptized [converted] 1839 see film #70020
Took name Adolph Wilhelm.
Spent a short time in England before coming to America on the Passenger ship Brooksby 10 Aug 1849
Died New York City 24 Feb. 1854 NY Death records Neubauer, Adolphis age 34 235 Stauton St [Correct age 35] Also Alexander Journal.
What is the source that Wm Hy Neuber is a Neubauer and a son of Joseph Nathan? If he is Neubauer I would guess he is a Berlin Neubauer.
